Today was odd. We did some driving to try and find mount ida. One of the supposed hiding places for zeus. We too like kronos found ourselves unaware of its location. So we were like screw this and drove to knossos. The richest of the 4 great minoan cities. It had pits maybe 2 cubic meters. And get this they filled like twelve of them with precious jewels and gold. Then the mycenians came and plundered the city and burned it down. You can still see the scorch marks on the stone. It was really satisfying to see and hear all the things I knew about knossos confirmed. Twas all thanks to our guide Eva who was full of knowledge and a very good teacher. I learned that the minoan people of crete lived in the bronze age, but had no copper or tin on the island. They traded for it, with tin coming all the way from England. Also if you want to know more about the myths of king minos and minotaur you should just ask me in person cause I know a ton of details now. I also found this plack in braille.
We also made some road side stops. Like this one blue and white place were I found a dead millipede. The clouds on the way home were of interest. Enjoy my photos
